Samrah Ahmed Principal investigator I received my doctorate in Clinical neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, under the guidance of Professor John Hodges, I was a research fellow at St George's University of London and a senior research fellow at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences University of Oxford. My research focuses on clinical phenotyping on Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia spectrum disorders to inform earlier and more accurate diagnosis. Aqsa Hussain Project student I am a final year psychology student at the University of Reading. Having spent my placement year supporting research in dementia and ageing brain health, I have returned back to my studies for my final year and look forward to writing my dissertation on the research. I hope to pursue organisational psychology post-graduation. When I am not studying, I love to create bespoke embroidery pieces! |
Kath De Wilde Executive administration office for research I am part of the Executive support team supporting research activities within the school, and work as the database administrator for Reading NeuroAge. I have worked on several research projects over the past few years, including on a large randomised controlled trial focused on adolescent mental health. I love to go wild swimming and do drawing, in my spare time when I can! Rei Ferrer Research assistant I am currently an international BSc Psychology student at the University of Reading, coming from Qatar, completing my placment year with Dr Samrah Ahmed. At the moment , i am hoping to pursue a career in Occupational Psychology. The experience I am gaining from this placement has helped me build a strong foundation for this path. When i'm not in the lab, i'm probably reading something. |
Stephanie Tedds Clinical research practitioner My role is to facilitate patients with dementia and their families to take part in out research. I work closely with memory clinics across Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to build research pathways for new and ongoing projects in the lab Rachel Ewan-Corrigan phd student I am a phD student, supervised by Dr Samrah Ahmed at the University of Reading. My research project aims to examine the various cognitive mechanisms of action underpinning impaired facial recognition in Alzheimer's Disease. i wish to continue conducting future research projects centred around dementia and neurodegenerative disorders. When I have free time, i enjoy hiking, travelling and any other water sports. |
